FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need solar, or can I just add a battery?
Both work. A battery alone gives you backup and lets you shift load off the expensive evening peak on a Time-of-Use tariff. Adding solar lets you store your own daytime generation and buy fewer grid units.

Will I earn money exporting to the grid?
We don't sell on export earnings. Our systems are designed for self-consumption, peak-shaving and backup, so your savings never depend on export approvals or paperwork. You keep and use the power you generate.

How do you size my system?
From your real usage (units or bill) and load profile, confirmed at the site survey. The configurator gives an indicative starting point.

Can I expand later?
Yes, EAST LiFePO4 is stackable. Start with what you need and add modules later without changing the inverter.

Can I charge an EV?
Yes, with the right supply. A 7 kW charger draws around 32 A, which may need a supply upgrade, three-phase connection, or a dedicated EV circuit. We advise per site.

How does payment work?
Reserve your system with a 30% deposit and pay the 70% balance on installation, set out in your proposal. Your deposit is protected by our 75-day installation guarantee: if we do not complete your installation within 75 days of your deposit, you receive a full refund of the deposit. Days lost to delays on the customer side extend the window by the same number of days.

Is there a warranty?
Yes. 10-year warranty on eligible EAST ESS packages. Final warranty terms and covered components are confirmed in your official quotation.
