This summary explains, in plain language, what the standard EAST energy-storage-system (ESS) warranty covers and what it depends on. It is provided for guidance only. The specific durations, the retained-capacity guarantee, the covered components and the labour terms that apply to your system are set out in your official EAST warranty certificate and your MyEnergy quotation, which take precedence over anything on this page.
1 · Warranty period
Eligible EAST ESS packages carry a warranty of up to 10 years. Individual parts of the system — the battery, the power-conversion system (PCS / inverter) and the thermal-management and control components — may carry different periods. The exact period for each component is stated in your warranty certificate for the specific product and package supplied.
2 · Battery capacity (state-of-health) guarantee
EAST lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries are warranted to retain a defined minimum share of their rated usable capacity over the warranty period, subject to a defined energy-throughput or cycle limit, whichever comes first. The exact retained-capacity percentage and the throughput / cycle limit that apply to your battery are stated in your official warranty certificate.
3 · What the warranty typically covers
- Manufacturing defects in the battery modules, the battery-management system (BMS), the PCS and the integrated cooling and fire-protection components.
- Capacity fade beyond the state-of-health guarantee, within the applicable throughput / cycle limit.
- Repair or replacement of the defective component, as set out in your warranty certificate.
4 · Labour, travel and logistics
Whether on-site labour, engineer travel and freight are included — and for how long — is set out in your warranty certificate and quotation. Confirm this for your package before commissioning, as it varies by product and project scope.
5 · Keeping your warranty valid
- Installation and commissioning by MyEnergy Solutions or an EAST-authorised installer.
- Operation within the datasheet environmental limits (temperature, humidity, altitude) and electrical limits.
- Remote monitoring kept connected, where the product requires it for warranty-relevant telemetry.
- Any scheduled preventive maintenance carried out as specified for the product.
6 · What is not covered
- Damage from installation not performed or approved by MyEnergy, or from unauthorised modification or repair.
- Operation outside the rated environmental or electrical conditions; force majeure such as flood, lightning or surge beyond the equipment's rated protection, and fire not originating in the unit.
- Consumables, cosmetic wear, and normal capacity fade that remains within the state-of-health guarantee.
- Site infrastructure supplied by others — foundations, cabling, switchgear, generators and the like.
7 · How to make a claim
Contact MyEnergy Solutions with your system serial number and site details. Faults are first triaged remotely through the monitoring platform, then attended on site if required. Keep your invoice and warranty certificate to hand — they confirm your coverage.
